2021 Creative Writing Contest
This year marks 100 years since the Tulsa Race Massacre. As a way to remember and commemorate the loss of this community in such a dark period of history, the African Descent Lutheran Association and partners have organized a writing contest. Writers age 14 and older may submit poetry, short stories, narratives or other creative writings on how the history of injustice related to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre reflects and relates to modern day injustice. How can the church recognize its historical complicity with racial injustice and be moved to respond today?
